In 2016, Toronto recognized North York as one of the city’s Cultural Hotspots, which celebrate local culture, connect the community, and grow capacity in the area. This Cultural Hotspot spans a vast geographic area and many local neighbourhoods with unique features; the Cultural Loops are designed as series of self-guided tours to encourage residents and visitors to explore the Hotspot.
